Picking the right accommodation takes some skill, and by following every single point from the article I wrote on how to choose wisely, Felix Apartments Valletta turned out to be the perfect choice — one we can highly recommend to anyone visiting Malta.
No, this isn’t about bragging. It’s just that after years of figuring out how to avoid low-quality, misleading, or even just mediocre accommodations, I want to share that it really is possible to find amazing places that match your needs — at a totally reasonable price.
Why Felix Apartments?
Here’s a fun little detail. When you’re booking a stay, you usually don’t know what kind of host you’re dealing with. Is it a small family-run unit? A larger operation? Will the owner be there in person, or has the place been managed remotely for years?
In this case, we honestly thought “Felix” himself would greet us with a smile, handing over the keys to his one and only lovingly cared-for apartment in Valletta — I mean, it’s called Felix Apartments, right? But the reality was a bit more grounded.
Turns out, Felix Apartments simply got their name from the street they’re on: Felix Street, Valletta.
Location
The apartment was fantastic all around, but before diving into the details, let’s talk location. Because even just based on that, this place checks every box.
Felix Apartments is in a perfect spot in Valletta. On the one hand, it’s right in the city center — literally just a few blocks from almost everything and the lively heartbeat of the capital. On the other hand, it’s tucked away on a surprisingly quiet street, where the noise fades completely when you’re ready to relax.
Right next door is Is-Suq Tal-Belt, Valletta’s market hall. It no longer functions as a traditional market, but you’ll find all kinds of street food options there, plus a well-stocked supermarket in the basement.
Just around the corner is Merchant Street — one of Valletta’s most vibrant and exciting pedestrian streets. That’s actually where we stumbled upon La Sfoglia restaurant, which ended up being by far the best culinary experience we’ve had in Malta.

Valletta itself is quite small, but if you haven’t been before, it’s good to know that Felix Apartments is only about 800 meters — a 10 to 15 minute walk — from the central bus terminal. That means it’s very easy to get here from the airport and to explore nearly all of Malta’s top sights using public transport.
That said, the one downside is parking. Like in most big cities, it’s a matter of finding a street spot, and you’re pretty much at the mercy of luck. So if you’re planning to explore Malta by car, this might not be your best fit. But as I explained in another article, you can absolutely enjoy the country without ever renting a car.
Felix Apartments Valletta
Perfect location, beautiful interior, kind and professional hosts — that’s how I’d describe it in one sentence.
This isn’t the classic family-run “one beloved flat” kind of situation. Felix Apartments is operated by a professional company, Valletta Collection, which — according to their website — manages dozens of apartments in the same building and all around Valletta.
And that’s not a bad thing — far from it. The apartment was beautifully maintained, spotless, spacious, and fully equipped with everything you need, especially in the kitchen. It made our Malta trip feel more like home, since we didn’t have to eat every single meal out. We shopped several times at the market next door and had everything we needed to cook delicious dinners ourselves.

And I definitely have to mention the hosts. They gave us the most detailed and helpful list of tips we’ve ever received from any accommodation — and we’ve stayed at quite a few around the world.
To sum it up: Felix Apartments Valletta was a fantastic experience. A stylish, well-equipped apartment in a great location. We can fully recommend it to anyone visiting Malta who wants high-quality accommodation in a central, walkable area.
