Cookie Crush is a tiny little cookie and coffee shop in Vesterbro, on Vesterbrogade. The name itself is not hard to spot from the street — it’s written in big letters on the window as Cookie Crush & Coffee. What can be a bit confusing when you’re searching for it is that they seem to use different “extensions” online, like CookieCrush.shop on their website and CookieCrush.coffee on Instagram. So if you search for them, don’t overthink it. This is the same small place.
Beachside Feeling
Once you step inside, it’s much nicer than you might expect from a tiny cookie shop, or even from the street. The whole place has this bright, modern, slightly Danish, slightly French seaside feeling. Light blue and white stripes, wooden wall panels, small beach-style decorations, cozy bench seating, plants, and a very clean, calm look. It feels more like a small coastal café than a random dessert stop in Vesterbro, Copenhagen.

There’s also a small French flag outside, and our lovely person behind the counter spoke with an unmistakable French accent when we visited. I don’t want to make any big statement about the background of the place without knowing it for sure, but the French feeling is definitely there.
Cookies, Cookies, and Cookies
At Cookie Crush, the selection is not huge, and the place itself is really small. But somehow that works in its favor. You don’t come here for a long café afternoon with a huge menu. You come in, see the beautiful cookies in the glass counter, order the one that you crave most with a coffee, sit down for a short sweet break, and suddenly you’re much happier than when you arrived.
Their specialty is basically a cookie used as a base, topped with different creams, fruits, nuts, or other sweet combinations. So don’t imagine a regular flat cookie that you grab from a jar. These are more like small cookie desserts: the cookie itself is baked as the foundation, with the edges slightly higher, and the topping makes each one completely different. Check their website for the whole selection.

What I Tried
I tried two flavors: crunchy pistachio and lemon pie. And honestly, I was surprised by how good they were. I didn’t expect too much from such a tiny place with such a small selection, but the first bite was very much a “wow, okay, this is serious” moment.
The cookie base itself was really good. Nice texture, chewy in the right way, sweet but not boring. The lemon pie version was softer, probably because of the topping, and had this very pleasant sour, slightly bitter citrus flavor. On top, there was toasted meringue, the kind that looks like it was finished with a pastry torch. It made the whole thing feel much more like a proper dessert than a simple cookie.

The crunchy pistachio one was completely different. It was basically Cookie Crush’s version of what people nowadays call Dubai chocolate: pistachio, chocolate cream, crunchy pastry pieces, and that rich, sweet, nutty feeling. Not light at all, but very enjoyable if you like this kind of dessert.
And the coffee was good too. Which is always important, because a place like this only really works if the cookie and coffee match each other.
Cookie Crush Copenhagen
So yes, Cookie Crush was a very pleasant surprise. A tiny place, a small selection, but visually beautiful cookies and flavors that actually deliver. Even if you don’t eat one yourself, they look good enough to make the stop enjoyable. But if you can eat them, definitely try one.
